| Lake
Hartwell is located just an hour north
of Atlanta’s Mall of Georgia where the northeast
Georgia mountains meet South Carolina’s Upstate
region. The Tugaloo river basin serves as the border between
the two states and is bisected by I-85 on the way to Anderson,
Greenville and Charlotte. Lake hartwell is one of the
south’s most beautiful lakes due to its depth and
the purity of the water. Lake hartwell's 962 miles of
shoreline and 56,000 acres feature over 80 public access
and recreation areas making it one of the most accessible
lakes in the nation. The US Army Corps of Engineers has
done a phenomenal job planning, managing and protecting
the lake, making it a perfect location for a second
home or for retirement home. |
